Hypersensitivity. Acute poisoning w/ alcohol, sleeping pills, pain relievers or other psychotropic medicines. Epilepsy not adequately controlled. As substitute in drug withdrawal. Concomitant use w/ MAOIs or w/in the last 14 days prior to treatment.
May lead to physical & psychological addiction. Patient w/ suspected opioid addiction; consciousness disorders; shock; increased pressure in the brain; difficulty in breathing. Risk of increased epileptic fits. May impair ability to drive a car or other vehicle & use electric tools or operate machinery. Not to be taken by patients w/ severe liver &/or kidney insufficiency, dialysis patients. Not to be given during pregnancy. Not recommended during lactation.
Not to be used w/ MAOIs. Pain-relieving effect may be reduced w/ carbamazepine, ondansetron. Increased risk of side effects w/ tranquillizers, sleeping pills, other pain relievers (eg, morphine & codeine), alcohol; certain antidepressants or antipsychotics. May affect blood clotting effect of coumarin anticoagulants eg, warfarin. Effect may be intensified w/ alcohol.
