Syrup: Oral solution/syrup containing 50 mg zidovudine per 5 ml.
IV infusion: Vials containing 200 mg of zidovudine in 20 ml solution (10 mg zidovudine/ml).
RETROVIR I.V. for Infusion is a clear, nearly colourless, sterile aqueous solution with a pH of approximately 5.5.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Syrup: hydrogenated glucose syrup, glycerol, citric acid, sodium benzoate, saccharin sodium, strawberry flavour, white sugar flavour, purified water.
IV infusion: Hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, water for injection.
