Generic name: Luseogliflozin Hydrate (JAN), luseogliflozin (INN).
Chemical name: (2S,3R,4R,5S,6R)-2-{5-[(4-Ethoxyphenyl)methyl]-2-methoxy-4-methylphenyl}-6-(hydroxymethyl)thiane-3,4,5-triol hydrate.
Molecular formula: C₂₃H₃₀O₆S·xH₂O.
Molecular weight: 434.55 (as anhydrate).
White powder. It is very soluble in N,N-dimethylformamide, sparingly soluble in acetonitrile, methanol, or ethanol (99.5), and practically insoluble in water. It gradually turns pale yellowish white in light.
