Amlodipine besylate
Indications/Uses
HTN. Prophylaxis of chronic stable angina pectoris. Prinzmetal's (variant) angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult HTN & angina Initially 5 mg once daily, may be increased to a max dose of 10 mg.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Known sensitivity to dihydropyridines. Not for use in cardiogenic shock, clinically significant aortic stenosis, unstable angina. Childn.
Special Precautions
Impaired liver function. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, oedema, rash, fatigue, nausea, flushing & dizziness, gingival hyperplasia.
