Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of constipation in adults & childn ≥8 yr. Temporary adjuvant treatment to appropriate lifestyle & dietary management of constipation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 sachet daily. Childn Max duration: 3 mth.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Dissolve each sachet in a glass of water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), toxic megacolon, perforation or risk of perforation, ileus or suspicion of intestinal obstruction or symptomatic stenosis, painful abdominal syndromes of undetermined reason, fructose intolerance.
Special Precautions
Patients prone for disturbances of water-electrolyte balance (eg, elderly, impaired hepatic or renal function or patients taking diuretics) & consider electrolyte control. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain &/or distention, nausea, diarrhoea.
Drug Interactions
May interfere w/ absorption of other drugs.
