An overdose may cause symptoms of irritation in the gastrointestinal tract (e.g. abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea).
Serious side effects or symptoms of poisoning have not yet been observed even after massive overdoses of Acetylcysteine tablets. The patient should still notify the doctor if he/she suspects an overdose with MENTOPIN Acetylcysteine 600.
If the patient forgets to take MENTOPIN Acetylcysteine 600: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If the patient stops taking MENTOPIN Acetylcysteine 600: Do not stop taking MENTOPIN Acetylcysteine 600 without consulting the doctor first. If the patient does, the condition might get worse.
