Medomycin Indications/Uses

Specific conditions which have responded successfully to Medomycin (Doxycycline) therapy include the following: Respiratory infections. Acute Bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, single and multiple pneumonia, lung abscess, and upper respiratory tract infections such as pharyngitis, and laryngotracheitis, E.N.T: Otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, Genitourinary Tract infections (acute and chronic): Cystitis, prostatitis, pyelonephritis, trigonitis, urethritis (gonococcal) and other. Skin and soft Tissue Infections: Abscess, acne vulgaris and conglobata, furunculosis, impetigo, infected burns, cellulitis, infected eczema and other infected rashes or dermatoses, infected traumatic and postoperative wounds, omphalitis and paronychia. Digestive System Infections: Cholangitis, cholecystitis, peritonitis, Salmonellosis, Shigellosis, typhoid fever Obstetrical and Gynecological Infections; Acute puerperal infections and pelvic inflammatory disease. Other Infections: Lymphogranuloma venereum, osteomyelitis, thrombophlebitis.
