CARE WHEN TAKING Duphalac: Consult a doctor, if: the desired results are not observed after several days of treatment, the patient experiences painful abdominal symptoms of unknown cause, or the side effects get serious.
Talk to a doctor/pharmacist before starting Duphalac if the patient suffers from any medical conditions, in particular, hereditary problems of galactose or fructose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Dose may be taken in consideration in diabetics when using high doses for PSE. Long-term use of unadjusted doses/misuse can lead to diarrhoea and disturbance of electrolyte balance.
If the patient had taken too high a dose, the patient may experience diarrhoea and/or abdominal pain. Stop treatment until symptoms have subsided.
