Shelf-life of the reconstituted solution: 440 mg vials (for multiple-dose use): Reconstitute the lyophilized powder (440mg strength) with 20 ml of bacteriostatic water for injection. Reconstituted solution should be used within 28 days of reconstitution when stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. The reconstituted solution contains preservative and is therefore suitable for multiple uses. Any remaining reconstituted solution should be discarded after 28 days.
150 mg vials (for single-dose use only): Reconstitute the lyophilized powder (150 mg strength) with 7.2 ml of sterile water for injection. Reconstituted solution should be used immediately. From a microbiological point of view, the reconstituted solution should be further diluted immediately. If not further diluted immediately, in-use storage times and conditions prior to dilution are the responsibility of the user and would normally not be longer than 24 hours at 2°C to 8°C; unless reconstitution has taken place in controlled and validated aseptic conditions.
Do not freeze the reconstituted solution.
Shelf-life of the solution for infusion containing the reconstituted solution: The infusion solution (0.9% sodium chloride infusion solution) containing the reconstituted solution is, physically and chemically stable for 24 hours (do not store above 30°C).
