Unopened ampoules: Store at temperatures below 30°C.
After first opening: The product should be used immediately.
After dilution: After dilution in 0.9% sodium chloride solution, levobupivacaine hydrochloride monohydrate is physically and chemically stable at temperature 30°C for 7 days. Aseptic technique should be used to prepare the diluted products. Admixtures of levobupivacaine should be prepared for single patient use only. The unused portion of diluted levobupivacaine hydrochloride monohydrate should be discarded after each use. From a microbiological point of view, the product should be used immediately. If not used immediately, in-use storage times and conditions prior to use are the responsibility of the user and would normally not be longer than 24 hours at 2 to 8°C.
Shelf life: L-Ascain 5.0 mg/ml Injection can be used within 24 months from the date of manufacture is kept as recommended (see previously mentioned).
