Halaven Indications/Uses

Breast cancer: HALAVEN monotherapy is indicated for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have progressed after at least two chemotherapeutic regimens for advanced disease (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: CLINICAL STUDIES under Actions). Prior therapy should have included an anthracycline and a taxane unless patients were not suitable for these treatments.
HALAVEN is indicated as monotherapy for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic HER2 negative breast cancer after failure of one chemotherapeutic regimen for advanced disease. Patients should have received an anthracycline and a taxane unless these treatments were not suitable.
Soft Tissue Sarcoma (Liposarcoma): HALAVEN is indicated for the treatment of inoperable liposarcoma after progression following prior chemotherapy for advanced or metastatic disease in adults. Patients should have received two previous chemotherapy treatments, one of which should have included an anthracycline, unless this treatment is unsuitable.
