Indications/Uses
Hurler & Hurler-Scheie forms of mucopolysaccharidosis I & Scheie form w/ moderate to severe symptoms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if anaphylactic, other severe hypersensitivity or infusion reactions occur. Acute febrile or resp illness; pre-existing upper airway obstruction; patients susceptible to fluid overload, w/ acute underlying resp illness or compromised cardiac &/or resp function. Immunogenicity. Pretreatment w/ antihistamine, antipyretics or both 60 min prior to infusion & evaluate airway patency prior to treatment initiation. Concomitant use w/ epinephrine. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly ≥65 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Infusion reactions, pyrexia, rash. Patients ≥6 yr: Infusion reactions eg, flushing; headache; abdominal pain or discomfort, inj site reaction; back & musculoskeletal pain. Patients ≤6 yr: Otitis media, central venous catheterization requirement; infusion reactions eg, chills; increased BP, tachycardia, decreased O2 saturation, pallor, tremor, resp distress, wheezing, crepitations (pulmonary), pruritus.
