Indications/Uses
Prevention & therapy of damage due to faulty or deficient protein metabolism in chronic renal insufficiency in connection w/ low-protein diet of 40 g/day or less in patients w/ GFR <25 mL/min.
Severe heart disease. Ensure sufficient supply of cal. Regular evaluation of the serum Ca level. Parenteral regimens should include non-protein cal adequate for wt maintenance.
