Naftidrofuryl oxalate
Indications/Uses
Peripheral vascular disorders: painful symptoms of arteritis, intermittent claudication, night cramps, rest pain, incipient gangrene, trophic ulcers, Raynaud's syndrome, diabetic arteriopathy & acrocyanosis. Cerebral vascular disorders: cerebral insufficiency & cerebral atherosclerosis, particularly where these manifest themselves as mental deterioration & confusion in the elderly.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & elderly Peripheral vascular disease 100-200 mg daily. Cerebral vascular disease 100 mg 3 times daily. Min duration of treatment: 3 mth.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take w/ a large glass of water.
Contraindications
Certain disorders of cardiac function, AV block.
Special Precautions
Renal, hepatic or severe cardiac insufficiency, conduction disorders.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally nausea, epigastric pain or skin reactions, cardiac rhythm, neurological disorders.
