TabAdult 7.5-15 mg. Elderly, debilitated patients 7.5 mg. IVConscious sedation Initially 2.5 mg given 5-10 min pre-op. Max: 5 mg. Further doses of 1 mg may be given. Adult >60 yr Initially 1-1.5 mg & given 5-10 min before procedure. Further doses of 0.5-1 mg may be given. Max. 3.5 mg. Induction Premed adult dose: 0.15-0.2 mg/kg IV. Non-premed adult dose: 0.3-0.35 mg/kg body wt IV. Maintenance 0.03-0.1 mg/kg/hr. IV sedation Loading dose 0.03-0.3 mg/kg. Maintenance: 0.03-0.2 mg/kg/hr. Anaesth Premed: 20-60 min before induction of anaesth, usual dose 5 mg IV. Childn 1-15 yr 0.08-0.2 mg/kg body wt IV.
