Lercanidipine HCl
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
10 mg/day. May be increased to 20 mg/day.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, untreated CHF, unstable angina pectoris or recent (w/in 1 mth). Severe renal or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Sick sinus syndrome (w/o pacemaker). Moderate to severe left ventricular dysfunction.
Adverse Reactions
Peripheral edema, headache, flushing, tachycardia & palpitations.
Drug Interactions
Interact w/ metabolism & elimination w/ CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers. Not to be taken w/ cyclosporin, grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Potentiated vasodilating effect w/ alcohol.
