Indications/Uses
Chronic HBV infection in adults & adolescents ≥12 yr weighing at least 35 kg.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Patients w/ liver disease, co-infected w/ HIV, HBV, HCV or hepatitis D. Monitor kidney function prior to initiation of & during therapy. Discontinuation of therapy may result in exacerbation of hepatitis B. Perform regular health checks & blood test for several mth after discontinuation. Lactose intolerance or intolerance to other sugars. Do not drive or use tools or machines. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr or weighing <35 kg.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity. Headache. Diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, arthralgia, rash, itchiness, feeling bloated, flatulence, feeling tired.
Drug Interactions
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, adenofovir dipivoxil. Antibiotics, antivirals, anticonvulsants, antifungals.
