Each gram contains urea 200 mg (20% w/w).
Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: Mechanism of Action: Urea increases the water content of the stratum corneum, result of the hygroscopic characteristics. The drug has also keratolytic action involved alterations in prekeratin and keratin, leading to increased solubilization. In addition, urea break hydrogen bonds that keep the stratum corneum intact.
Pharmacokinetics: Urea is absorbed percutaneously. It is distributed in the extracellular space and excreted in urine.
UREA-20 Cream is used topically in the treatment of dry skin and hyperkeratotic skin disorders that may be the cause of scaling or itching. Help to promote the skin hydration.
Apply in thin film to the affected skin area 1-3 times a day.
The patient with a history of hypersensitivity to urea.
Do not apply to broken skin and near the eye.
Use in Pregnancy: Pregnancy category C: Consult the physician before use.
May cause mild irritation to sensitive skin.
Keep in airtight container, protect from light and heat. Store below 30°C.
