Etifoxine HCl
Indications/Uses
Psychosomatic manifestations of anxiety eg, autonomic nervous system imbalance, notably of CV nature.
Dosage/Direction for Use
3-4 cap daily in 2 or 3 divided doses. Max duration: 12 wk.
Contraindications
States of shock; myasthenia. Severe liver &/or renal impairment.
Special Precautions
Contraindicated in patients w/ congenital galactosemia, glucose & galactose malabsorption syndrome or lactase deficit. Concomitant use w/ central depressants & alcoholic drinks. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Inadvisable during pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Drug Interactions
Increased sedative effect w/ alcohol. Increased central depression w/ morphine derivatives (analgesics, antitussives & narcotic substitutes), benzodiazepines, hypnotics, neuroleptics, sedative H1 antihistamines & antidepressants, central antihypertensive, baclofen, thalidomide.
