Per 0.5 mL Diphtheria toxoid ≥30 IU, tetanus toxoid ≥40 IU, Bordetella pertussis antigens toxoid 25 mcg, filamentous haemagglutinin 25 mcg, inactivated poliomyelitis virus type 1 40 D antigen units, inactivated poliomyelitis virus type 2 8 D antigen units, inactivated poliomyelitis virus type 3 32 D antigen units, HIB polysaccharide conjugated w/ tetanus protein 10 mcg
Indications/Uses
Immunization against DPT, poliomyelitis & against invasive infections caused by HIB in childn from 2 mth of age.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Inj IM at the front side of the thigh (middle 3rd). Primary vaccination 3 inj at 1- or 2-mth intervals from 2 mth of age. Booster During the 2nd yr of life.
Contraindications
Convulsant or non-convulsant progressive encephalopathy. Fever ≥40°C, persistent crying syndrome, febrile or non-febrile convulsion, hypotonus-hyporeactivity syndrome. Allergy to any component of the vaccine, neomycin, streptomycin & polymyxin B.
Special Precautions
Not to inj intravascularly or ID. Postpone vaccination in childn w/ fever or acute disease, history of febrile convulsions, oedematous reactions.
Adverse Reactions
Inj site pain, erythema (redness). Fever, irritability, drowsiness, sleeping & eating disorders, diarrhoea, vomiting, inconsolable & prolonged crying.
Drug Interactions
Immunosuppressive treatment.
