Paracetamol

Indications/Uses

Analgesic, antipyretic.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Tab Adult 500 mg. Childn >5 yr 325 mg. To be taken tid to qid. Inj Adult 1 amp 4-6 hrly. Childn 6-12 yr ½ to 1 mL 4-6 hrly.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Special Precautions

Renal & hepatic failure.

Adverse Reactions

Hematological, skin & other allergic reactions.

Drug Interactions

Alcohol, oral anticoagulant, chloramphenicol, aspirin, phenobarb, liver enzyme inducers, hepatotoxic agents.
