Manidipine HCl
Indications/Uses
Mild, moderate, severe HTN, HTN w/ renal impairment.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Initially 10 mg. Maintenance: 10-20 mg. To be taken once daily. Elderly Start w/ lower dose.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take after breakfast.
Special Precautions
Severe hepatic impairment. Abrupt w/drawal may cause aggravation of symptoms. May cause excessive drop of BP. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity. Elevation of liver enzymes, BUN, serum creatinine, total cholesterol, uric acid or triglycerides. Leucopenia, GI disturbances, dizziness, headache, facial hot flushes, feeling of warmth, conjunctival congestion, palpitation or tachycardia. Malaise, weakness, edema, pollakiuria.
Drug Interactions
May intensify action of other antihypertensive drugs, cimetidine.
