Dorzolamide HCl
Indications/Uses
Elevated IOP in patients w/ ocular HTN or open-angle glaucoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn 1 drop in the affected eye tid.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if signs of serious reactions or hypersensitivity occurs. Acute angle-closure glaucoma; bacterial keratitis. Ocular effects may occur. Not recommended in concomitant use w/ oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Not to be administered while wearing contact lenses; reinsert lenses ≥15 min after administration. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly ≥65 yr or ≥75 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Ocular burning, stinging or discomfort immediately following administration, bitter taste following administration, superficial punctate keratitis, signs & symptoms of ocular allergic reaction; blurred vision, tearing, dryness, photophobia.
Drug Interactions
Oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
