Indications/Uses

Increased ICP & cerebral edema.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 200-500 mL once or bid by IV drip infusion in 2-3 hr/500 mL. Duration: 1 wk.

Contraindications

Patients w/ hereditary fructose intolerance.

Special Precautions

Patients w/ acute, sub or epidural hematoma; restricted Na intake. CV function impairment, renal disorder, diabetes insipidus, DM.

Adverse Reactions

Occult blood in urine, hemoglobinuria & hematuria. Headache & general malaise.
