Indications/Uses
GI symptoms caused by gastric dysmotility & delayed gastric emptying eg, bloating sensation, early satiety, post-prandial fullness, upper abdominal pain or discomfort, anorexia, heartburn, nausea & vomiting; functional (non-ulcer) dyspepsia or chronic gastritis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients in whom an increase in GI motility could be harmful, eg, GI hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation.
Special Precautions
Concomitant use w/ acetylcholine. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <16 yr. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Drug Interactions
May influence absorption particularly in drugs w/ narrow therapeutic index, SR or EC formulations. May reduce action w/ anticholinergics.
