Sucralfate & herbal extr [witch hazel leaf (hamamelis), chamomile & calendula extr]
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoidal disease & its complications (eg, eczema, anal fissure). Covers & protects epidermis, & provides care to inflamed, itchy skin, promoting skin regeneration. Diminishes skin drying out which helps in wound healing, & reduces risk of fissure & injury caused by defecation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Duration of use: Up to 4 wk w/o interruption. Oint Apply on periphery of anus or pea-sized amount using applicator into rectum possibly after defecation or sitz bath once daily or bid. Supp 1 rectal supp into rectum possibly after sitz bath once daily or bid.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sucralfate & herbal extr, or lanolin. Bleeding hemorrhoids.
Special Precautions
Do not swallow. Not to be used in vagina. Avoid contact w/ eyes; periphery of eyes, into mouth or mucous membrane of mouth. Recommend to use pantyliners as it may soil underclothing. Oint: Applicator can only be used by 1 person. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions (burning sensation, itching, pain or erythema).
Drug Interactions
Reduced safety of contraception in concomitant use w/ condom.
