Indications/Uses
Management of manifestations of schizophrenia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
0.5-1 mL every 2-5 wk.
Contraindications
Bone marrow depression, comatose states, severe depression.
Special Precautions
Elderly, debilitated. Impaired liver or kidney function, CV or resp disorders, parkinsonism, diabetes, pheochromocytoma, epilepsy, glaucoma. May impair temp regulatory mechanism.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, dependence, antimuscarinic effects, insomnia, depression, convulsions, agitation, tachycardia, postural hypotension, allergic reactions, agranulocytosis, tardive dyskinesia, depressive reactions.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol, CNS depressants, clonidine.
