Per 0.5 mL Live-attenuated Japanese encephalitis virus 5.4 log PFU above
Indications/Uses
Prophylactic immunization against Japanese encephalitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Infant ≥9 mth Primary immunization of single dose 0.5 mL SC. Booster dose can be given from 3 mth to 1 yr after primary dose.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity/anaphylactic reactions. Patients w/ fever, acute infectious disease, tympanitis or active untreated TB; malnutrition, general allergy & convulsion; cardiac, liver or kidney disorders; weak immune system; undergoing immunosuppressive therapy. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Do not inj into a blood vessel. Monitor patients during & after vaccination.
Adverse Reactions
Fever (>37.5°C); rash & nausea; local redness, pain or sensitivity; crying, loss of appetite, sleepiness or sleep problems in childn.
