Contraindicated in patients w/ hypersensitivity or those w/ asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria in response to aspirin or other NSAIDs; active or history of recurrent GI bleeding or peptic ulceration; severe hepatic & renal failure; dengue hemorrhagic fever. Discontinue in case of SJS; rash or symptoms similar to flu. Increased risk of serious GI adverse events, & CV thrombotic events, MI & stroke. Patients w/ history of cardiac decompensation or renal function impairment; HTN; intrinsic coagulation disorders or on anticoagulant therapy; history of GI disease (bleeding or ulcers). Concurrent therapy w/ aspirin, anticoagulants &/or corticosteroids; smoking; ethanol. Pregnancy (especially 3rd trimester) & lactation (especially women w/ hypertensive disorders of pregnancy or preexisting renal disease). Elderly or debilitated patients.
