Indications/Uses
Peripheral neuropathies. Megaloblastic anemia due to vit B12 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 tab tds or 1 amp IM or IV 3 times wkly. Inj Peripheral neuropathies 1 amp administered IM or IV 3 times wkly. Megaloblastic anemia 1 amp administered IM or IV 3 times wkly. After approx 2 mth of medication, the dose should be reduced to a single administration of 1 amp at 1- to 3-mth intervals for maintenance therapy.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Discontinue if there is no response after taking orally for several mth.
Adverse Reactions
Infrequently: Anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, pain & induration at IM inj site. Rarely: Skin rash, headache, sweating or hot sensation.
