Recommended Dose in Adults and Adolescents aged > 16 years (weighing at least 40 kg): The recommended dose of efavirenz, lamivudine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (containing 600 mg of efavirenz, 300 mg of lamivudine and 300 mg of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) is one tablet per day taken orally on an empty stomach, preferably at bedtime.
Dose Adjustment for Renal Impairment: Because efavirenz, lamivudine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablet is a fixed-dose combination tablet, it is not recommended for patients with impaired renal function (creatinine clearance less than 50 mL/min) or patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) requiring hemodialysis.
