Thromboembolic disorders. Prophylactic alternative to aspirin in patients w/ atherosclerosis who are at risk of thromboembolic disorders eg, MI, peripheral arterial disease & stroke.
Prophylaxis of thromboembolic events 75 mg once daily. Management of acute coronary syndrome including unstable angina & non-Q wave MI 300 mg as a single dose, followed by 75 mg once daily.
Patients at risk of increased bleeding from trauma, surgery or other pathological conditions. Lesions w/ propensity to bleed (eg, ulcer) & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy.
