Indications/Uses
Resp tract disorders w/ excessive viscous mucus eg, bronchitis, otitis, bronchiectasis, emphysema, rhinitis & rhinopharyngitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Cap Adult 1 cap tid. Syr Adult 1-1½ tsp Childn 6-12 yr 2 tsp, 2-5 yr 1 tsp. To be taken 6 hrly. Oral drops Infant 9-12 mth 1 mL, 6-8 mth 0.75 mL, 3-5 mth 0.5 mL, <2 mth 0.25 mL. To be taken tid-qid.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Elderly patients w/ severe resp insufficiency; asthmatic patients.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, headache, gastric discomfort, diarrhea, GI bleeding & skin rash.
