Per g Adapalene 1 mg (0.1%), clindamycin phosphate 10 mg (1%)
Dosage/Direction for Use
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to prep containing clindamycin, lincomycin or adapalene. History of regional enteritis or ulcerative or antibiotic-associated colitis.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use in case of hypersensitivity. Diarrhea, bloody diarrhea & colitis including pseudomembranous colitis. Cutaneous signs & symptoms (eg, erythema, dryness, scaling, burning or pruritus) may be experienced during treatment. Avoid contact w/ the eyes, lips, angles of the nose & mucous membranes; excessive exposure to sunlight (including sun lamps) & UV light. Local irritation may occur in concomitant use w/ medicated or abrasive soaps or cleansers, soaps & cosmetics w/ strong drying effect & products w/ high conc of alcohol eg, astringents, spices or lime. Not to be applied to cuts, eczematous, sun-burnt or abraded skin. Atopic individuals. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Erythema, scaling, dryness, pruritus & burning.
Drug Interactions
Combination w/ prep containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid. Clindamycin: May enhance action of neuromuscular blocking agents.
