Evidence of significant interactions between levetiracetam and of the epileptics is mostly lacking. However, symptoms of carbamazepine toxicity have been reported when levetiracetam was added to carbamazepine therapy. This appeared to be due to a pharmacodynamic mechanism as blood level of epoxide metabolites were not altered.
