Ciprofloxacin may rarely cause tendon damage (eg, tendonitis, tendon rupture) during or after treatment. Ciprofloxacin should not be used in patients with myasthenia gravis. It may cause the condition to become worse. Seek immediate medical attention if the patient develops muscle weakness or trouble breathing.
Ciprofloxacin causes photosensitivity reaction. Patient is advised to avoid direct exposure to UV irradiation or extensive sunlight.
