Indications/Uses
Urinary tract, resp tract, otitis media, skin infections & other infections due to sensitive organisms.

Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult
1-2 g daily given in divided doses 6-8 or 12 hrly intervals.
Severe infections
Up to 6 g daily.
Childn
25-100 mg/kg daily in divided doses up to max: 4 g daily.
Prophylaxis of recurrent UTI
125 mg at night.

May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cefalexin or other cephalosporins.
