Why do I need this medicine?
Policresulen is used to treat cervical and vaginal inflammation.
How do I use this medicine?
Use Policresulen exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

It is best to use it at bedtime. Try to use it at the same time each day.

Policresulen is available as a vaginal suppository.

To use this medicine, follow these steps:
  1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
  2. Lie on your back with both knees bent and legs apart.
  3. Gently insert the suppository deep into the vagina. May moisten the suppository with water to facilitate insertion, if necessary.
  4. Wash your hands after inserting the suppository.
The dose of this medicine will be decided by your doctor. Your doctor will advise you on the treatment timeframe depending on the type and severity of your condition.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Policresulen may cause dead tissues to slough off even in large quantities during treatment. This is normal, do not be alarmed. These clusters of tissue should be removed to avoid irritation.

Fabrics (e.g. clothing, bedding) that has been in contact with this medicine must be washed immediately before it dries. You may use sanitary napkins to prevent soiling of clothing and beddings.

You must avoid sexual contact during, and 7 days after your treatment with Policresulen.

Do not use soap which can cause irritation during treatment.

This medicine must not be used during menstrual cycle.

If symptoms persist, have not improved, or worsen at the end of treatment, or in case of recurrence of symptoms, consult your doctor.
What side effects could I experience?
Policresulen may cause vaginal dryness and discharge.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking or using any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements, and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
