Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult Recommended daily dose: 1 chewable tab daily. Severe avitaminosis & infectious disease 1 tab bd for 5-7 days.

Contraindications

Adverse Reactions

Mild transient multivit/mineral GI disturbances. May cause haemolytic anaemia in individuals w/ G6PD deficiency.

Drug Interactions

Increased blood conc of salicylates, ethinylestradiol, benzylpenicillin & tetracyclines. Decreased blood conc of OCs. Reduced anticoagulation effect of coumarin derivatives. Improved Fe absorption. Increased clearance of ethyl alcohol. Decreased reserve w/ quinolones, CaCl₂, salicylate, corticosteroid. Reduced levels w/ corticosteroids (cortisone & prednisolone). Enhanced tissue toxicity of Fe w/ deferoxamine inj. High doses of vit C inhibited disulfiram-alcohol reaction. Decreased efficacy of TCAs.
