Indications/Uses
Mono- & polyneuropathies (eg, diabetic, alcoholic & toxic neuropathies). Neuritis & neuralgia. Vit B1, B6 & B12 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole, do not chew.

Adverse Reactions
Thiamine: Feelings of warmth, tingling, pruritus, pain, urticaria, weakness, sweating, nausea, restlessness, tightness of throat, angioedema, resp distress, cyanosis, pulmonary edema; GI bleeding, transient vasodilation & hypotension, vascular collapse & death. Pyridoxine: Nausea, headache, paresthesia, somnolence & increased serum AST (SGOT) & decreased serum folic acid conc. Cyanocobalamin: Mild transient diarrhea, peripheral vascular thrombosis, itching, transitory exanthema, urticaria, feeling of swelling of entire body, anaphylaxis & death.
Drug Interactions
Thiamine: Enhanced effects of neuromuscular blocking agents. Pyridoxine HCl: Reversed therapeutic effects of l-dopa. Cyanocobalamin: Decreased GI tract absorption by aminoglycoside antibiotics, colchicine, anticonvulsants, cobalt irradiation of small bowel & excessive alcohol intake. Antagonized hematopoietic response to vit B12 deficiency patients w/ chloramphenicol.
