SC Recommended initial dose: 1 vial daily, may be increased after 7-14-day intervals by 37.5-75 IU increments if necessary. Duration of stimulation in any 1 cycle may be extended to up to 5 wk. When an optimal response is obtained, a single inj of 5,000-10,000 IU hCG should be administered 24-48 hr after the last Pergoveris inj. The patient is recommended to have coitus on the day of & on the day following hCG administration. Alternatively, intrauterine insemination may be performed.
Porphyria or family history of porphyria; hypothyroidism, adrenocortical deficiency, hyperprolactinemia. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) & ovarian torsion. Thromboembolic events; DM. Benign & malignant reproductive system neoplasms in women who have undergone multiple infertility treatment regimens. Regularly monitor stimulation cycles & oestradiol measurements. Multiple & ectopic pregnancy. Miscarriage. Not to be used during pregnancy & lactation. Congenital malformations. Elderly.
