Adverse reactions are listed in the Table per CIOMS frequency categories: Very Common: ≥10%; Common: ≥1% and <10%; Uncommon: ≥0.1% and <1%; Rare: ≥0.01% and <0.1%, Very rare: <0.01%.
Use of COCs has been associated with increased risk of the following: Arterial and venous thrombotic and thromboembolic events, including myocardial infarction, stroke, transient ischemic attack, venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism; Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer; Breast cancer diagnosis; Benign hepatic tumors (e.g., focal nodular hyperplasia, hepatic adenoma).
