Local adverse reactions might occur with applied lidocaine and include allergic reactions or drowsiness. Other side effects that may rarely occur include dizziness, blurred vision, tremors, nervousness, wheezing or difficulty in breathing, chest pain, severe rash or itching and increased sweating.
