Hydrocortisone
Indications/Uses
Relief of non-infected acute dermatitis or eczema, itching rashes of irritant or allergic contact dermatitis, itching & itching vulval.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply small amount gently to affected area once to tds.
Contraindications
Known sensitivity. Viral skin infections eg, vaccinia, chicken pox, herpes; fungal skin infections eg, thrush, tinea, ringworm; bacterial skin infections eg, impetigo, boils; skin TB, syphilitic skin disorders.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if irritation occurs or condition persists >7 days. Not to be used on infected skin, acne or viral skin diseases eg, cold sores, chicken pox; under covered dressings. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Women of childbearing potential. Pregnancy. Not to be applied before lactation. Not to be used in childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Slight stinging sensation, itching, redness, allergy, skin thinning.
