Betahistine diHCl
Indications/Uses
Vertigo, tinnitus &/or hearing loss associated w/ Meniere's syndrome. Symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult including elderly 8-16 mg tds. Maintenance: 24-48 mg daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Phaeochromocytoma.
Special Precautions
Phaeochromocytoma, bronchial asthma; history of peptic ulcer. Not to be used during pregnancy. Lactation. Not recommended in childn <18 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions eg, anaphylaxis; mild gastric complaints eg, vomiting, GI pain, abdominal distension & bloating; headache; cutaneous & SC hypersensitivity reactions eg, angioneurotic oedema, urticaria, rash, pruritus.
