Each gram contains: Ketoprofen 25 mg.
Pharmacology: Ketoprofen is a group of propionic acid, a derivative of aryl carboxylic acid which has a potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions.
Ketoprofen inhibits cyclo-oxygenase enzyme activity and prostaglandin synthesis.
SANBEFLAM Gel is indicated for local relief of pain and inflammation associated with soft tissue injuries, rheumatics, and muscular sprains.
Apply gel to the affected skin surface, 1-2 times daily for 7 days.
Hypersensitivity to Ketoprofen or aspirin or other NSAID.
Patients with a history of bronchial asthma or allergic disease.
The prolonged use may cause hypersensitivity phenomena. In such cases the treatment should be discontinued and a suitable alternative therapy instituted.
Caution should be given in patients with renal impairment.
Not recommended for children and breast-feeding women.
Use with caution in pregnant women, even though there are no embryopathic effects in animal studies.
Should not be applied to mucous membrane, eyes, wounds and open wounds, exudative dermatosis, eczema and skin infection, genital area, and do not use it with bandage.
Skin allergic reactions including pruritus and local erythema may occur, especially on ultraviolet or sunlight exposure, therefore it is advisable to avoid direct sunlight exposure while using Ketoprofen.
No interactions with other drugs have been reported, however it is advisable to monitor patients being treated with coumarin drugs.
Store below 30°C.
Use within 4 months after opening.
