Hypersensitivity. Myasthenia gravis. History of drug or alcohol dependence. Sleep apnoea syndrome. Severe resp failure or chronic obstructive airways disease accompanied by a threat of resp arrest. Pregnancy & lactation.
Patients w/ psycho-vegetative & psychosomatic organ disorders; drug dependence disorder. Treatment discontinuation must be done gradually. Long-term use is not recommended. Hypotension; epilepsy; amnesia; paradoxical reaction; thyroid adenoma; acute intoxication w/ CNS depressants; muscle weakness & ataxia; glaucoma; nerve failure & blood dyscrasias; depression, psychosis & schizophrenia. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Liver failure. Elderly or very weak patients must be limited to the smallest effective dose.
