Treatment & prevention of hypokalemia.

Dosage/Direction for Use

1-2 tab 2-3 times daily.

Administration

Should be taken with food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.

Contraindications

Advanced renal failure, hyperkalemia, untreated Addison's disease, acute dehydration, GI obstruction.

Special Precautions

Renal impairment, CHF.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

Drug Interactions

Increased risk of hyperkalemia w/ ACE inhibitors, cyclosporin, K-sparing diuretics eg, spironolactone, triamterene or amiloride.
