The usual adult dose for oral use is 10 mg once daily as elobixibat before meal. The dosage may beadjusted depending on the patient’s symptoms but must not exceed the highest dose of 15 mg per day.
Based on Japanese Phase III study, elobixibat were administered for 14 days.
Physicians and patients should periodically assess the need for suspended or continued therapy. If treatment is resumed, it should be initiated at the dose equivalent or lower than the last dose prior to dose suspension.
