Dosage/Direction for Use
For oral use, always take this medicine exactly as stated below or as the doctor or pharmacist has instructed. Check with the doctor or pharmacist if not sure.
Treatment should not exceed 5-7 days without seeing the doctor.
The recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 10 ml, twice daily.
This regimen is appropriate for acute respiratory disorders and for the initial treatment of chronic conditions up to 14 days.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 5 ml, 2-3 times daily.
Children from 2 to 6 years of age: 2.5 ml, 3 times daily.
Children from 1 to 2 years of age: 2.5 ml, twice daily.
These doses are intended for initial treatment; doses can be halved beyond 14 days.
In case of a severe kidney or liver disorder, ask the doctor to determine the posology.
Mucodrenol should be taken preferably after meals.
To help with the administration of the syrup, the package contains a measuring cup with markings.
Note: an increase in the flow of secretions is to be expected and therefore, cough and sputum can also increase.
If the patient forgets to take Mucodrenol: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
